4th of July

This year the weekend before the 4th of July we took a quick trip to NY and visited Landon and Alyse in Long Island. (we were there when Landon was set apart as the Bishop in their ward)
Landon and Alyse were staying in this awesome old home. It was a little creepy at times, but I loved all of the vintage-ness in the home.

And Eva loved being with grandma and grandpa Essig in Long Island.

Eva enjoyed playing in Landon and Alyse's house which was under construction.

On the way back to DC we spent a couple of hours in NYC and walked the highline for the first time.

We also went to build a bear and the NY Library which Eva loved.

We made it back to DC just in time to enjoy the 4th of July. After working in the yard that morning, and going for an afternoon run we watched the fireworks on the roof of Lincoln's work. It was gorgeous and we enjoyed the company of good friends.
