2 years ago today

I met Lincoln for the very first time two years ago today.

How did we meet?

I jumped in his bed when he was sleeping peacefully
and his roomates took a picture.

The next morning I introduced myself.

What the Hill Does to You

Ali: "Lincoln, why did you clear the microwave timer? I was going to put my food right back in."
Lincoln: "Because you never clear the timer on the microwave when you are done cooking your food, and it kinda bothers me. I did it for you because I thought you were done."

Ali: "So I never clear the microwave timer just like you keep using the curtain rod in the front room to hang all your clothes on..."

Lincoln: "No. We were talking about food, you can't bring up another topic.  That is like being at a Natural Resource Committee Hearing and asking questions concerning the Judiciary Committee."

Ali: "That makes sense. But I still think you should put your clothes away, and I will try and remember to clear the timer next time." (Thinking in my head)  We have become complete nerds since we started working on Capitol Hill....

Believe, believe in me, believe. Believe that life can change. That youre not stuck in vain.

Have you ever met someone famous?
Have you ever asked someone to take a picture of you and the famous person?
Has the person who took that picture of you not known how to work the camera and thought they took a picture of you with the famous person when they really didn't?
Well my friends, then you will remember that awkward feeling of looking through your pictures and realizing that you never got that one sweet shot.

That happened to me this week at a Judiciary Hearing on the Hill when I met Billy Corgan. (the lead singer of Smashing Pumpkins). This is a picture I took (with a video camera- thus it is blurry) of Billy Corgan right before he came and shook my hand. We then posed for that nonexistant picture I took with him.

Sigh...
Time is never time at all
You can never ever leave without leaving a piece of youth
And our lives are forever changed
We will never be the same
The more you change the less you feel
Believe, believe in me, believe
Believe that life can change
That youre not stuck in vain
Were not the same, were different tonight
Tonight, so bright
Tonight

It is fixed.

And all the sudden I like our apartment again.

Crime and Punishment

The Crime and Punishment Museum is running a special for government employees until March 25th. You just show your hill ID and you and a guest get in for free. Let me know if you want in on this action when we go back.

Overall, a pretty great museum. We were very entertained and amazed by all the different forms of torture, punishment, and heinous crimes.

One Year Down.

Our wedding day was beautiful.
I can't believe it has been a year already.
The best decision I ever made was to marry you.
Happy Anniversary Love.
{Maybe next year instead of writing essays and doing homework we can spend more time celebrating. But I really liked the flowers and the pretty emerald ring you gave me. }
