Punxsatauny Phil. Who thought that such a name could bring great happiness to over 30,000 individuals this Feb 2, 2008? But believe you me, I have never had a more exciting Groundhog's day! We went on a 4 hour drive from DC to this quaint little town, and watched the movie "Groundhog's day" before we went to bed on a church floor. At about 3 am the Parade began to start and afterwards the crowds began to flock towards "Gobblers Knob." Music was played and people danced trying to keep themselves warm while waiting for this bodacious beauty of a beast called phill. As the sun came up, the inner circle came down, and declared that a slight shadow was seen sliding off the groundhog and onto the tree stump. The "seer of seers and prognosticator of prognosticators " declared that 6 more weeks of winter was on its way!
