While we were in Cali, we took advantage and had some really fun double dates with some good couple friends of ours. We went to the Orange Country Fair, Downtown Disney, San Diego, and Santa Barbara.
We went to the Orange County fair with Christy White and her fiance Craig. Going to the fair is always so fun to watch people spend tons of money playing games, trying to win stuffed animals for their girlfriends. Also, I got to ride on a really big slide, and Lincoln got to try his first ever fried snickers bar. It was a complete disappointment. It looked like a corn dog and almost tasted like one too...

We went with a friend of mine from my Argentina mission - Patrick Markarian, and his wife to have dinner at a jazz restaurant in Downtown Disney. It was fun to meet Patrick's cute wife and catch up on life with them. Plus, we were happy to be able to make it down to Disneyland since we were so close this summer.

When we were in San Diego, we went with Lindi and Ryan Haws (some of our friends from GW, who were also in Cali for an internship) to see the air force carrier called the Midway. It was really neat to see inside of it. It took 2 hours and we could have spent another 2 hours!

Finally we headed up to Santa Barbara to visit one of Lincoln's good high school friends, Bree, and her husband, Matt. We were so glad to see them because we hadn't seen them since our wedding in March. They're both working on their doctorate degrees, and it was funn to hear about all of their cool research. We spent the afternoon walking around Santa Barbara and visiting the pier. Of the places we visited in California, we both agreed that Santa Barbara was the prettiest.

I was going to ask if you had made it to Disney, that like our favorite place ever.
I love to read about all the fun places you guys go!!
Your 2 months "off" sound amazing! I should have taken more opportunities to do that when I had a summer off before I had Beth... although kick boxing when you are 8 months pregnant doesn't really work... also there was no beach in Logan, Utah!
Are you looking forward to your LAST year of law school? We sure are... although then it is intro. into the "REAL" world with working and all....oh.,..and paying off student loans of course :)
